Medicaid is a joint program with the Federal and the State.
- Medicare Savings Program can provide help from your state paying for premiums and copays/deductibles/coinsurance
- QMB -Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (Helps pay for Part A & B premiums plus copays, coinsurance, and deductibles
- SLMB- Service Limited Medicare Beneficiary (Helps pay for Part B premiums)
- QI- Qualified Individuals (Helps pay for Part B premiums – it’s on a first come first serve basis with priority given to those who had it the prior year)
- QDWI- Qualified Disability Working Individuals (Helps pay Part A premium if you are a working disabled person under 65, lost your premium-free Part A when you went back to work, aren’t getting assistance from your state, and meet the requirements
